Walking into a room full of students who already know what to do can make any child freeze. So CMK doesn’t throw beginners into a group class and expect them to figure everything out.
We prepare them first. Every introductory trial begins with a one-on-one lesson with a certified black belt instructor — so your child learns the foundations, understands expectations and starts to feel ready before joining group training.
It reflects everything we believe: we prepare children for challenges instead of expecting them to succeed without preparation.
Class 1 · One-on-one
Arrive a few minutes early. Street parking is available on Pico Blvd and nearby streets. Your child meets the certified black belt instructor who will guide their lesson.
Bowing in, lining up, listening for instructions — the routines that make a group class feel familiar instead of intimidating.
Foundational stances and techniques at your child’s pace, with personal correction and encouragement.
Afterward, we explain programs, pricing and membership options in person — clearly, and without pressure.
Classes 2 & 3 · Group training
With the basics in place, your child joins an age-appropriate group class — never more than 12 students — and experiences the encouragement, structure and energy of real CMK training.

Our promise of transparency
After the first lesson, families receive an in-person explanation of available programs, pricing, and enrollment options. There is no obligation to purchase a regular membership.
Many families enroll after their first lesson, but families who need more time may use their remaining trial classes. Families who enroll shortly after their first visit may qualify for additional introductory benefits — full terms are explained in person, and taking more time is always okay.
